The sign says: NO THROWING OF GARBAGE HERE. But what can you see below the sign?

CAFE LAGUNA

We love to eat at Cafe Laguna at Robinson's Mall once in a while especially if we get bored eating fast food and grilled good. The place has a very good ambiance and the set-up is very cozy. You might mistaken it for a a very expensive restaurant but it is affordable.

Crispy Kangkong P 80.00. My son's favorite.

Tenderloin Steak Ala Pobre P 195.00. This is our favorite.

Kinilaw Tangigue P 165.00

Buttered Chicken P 165.00

I am just wondering why is there no Cafe Laguna in Davao City. Any interested investor?

CHINESE CUISINE

Every time my husband and I decide to eat out, we wanted to eat Chinese Cuisine. But that has been our problem when we are in Cagayan de Oro City. We can't find any restaurant that offers delicious Chinese cuisine like Ahfat in Davao City. So we always ended up in barbecue houses and fastfood chains which is becoming so boring.

If anybody knows a Chinese restaurant in CDO, please drop a comment.

DOG SHOW

Do you love dogs? I don't hate dogs but I'm not fond of them either. I have a dog phobia because I was beaten by one before. Anyways, I saw this poster at a petshop in Robinson's and decided to post it here just in case somebody who is interested will read this.

SM CDO PARKING BUILDING

Here's a photo of the SM Parking Building at Cagayan de Oro City. I think it's 4 stories tall. I thought it was a mall extension but it was a parking area. SM Davao doesn't have this one and it's very annoying when it rains because you don't have any choice but to wait until the rain slows down before you can get your car.

LEXI'S GRILL & BAR

BULALO (LARGE) P 260.00

PORK KILAWIN P 95.00

ADOBONG NUKOS P 150.00

GRILLED TALABA P 95.00

My husband loves to eat seafoods. So we ended up at Lexi's Grill & Bar. I am not sure what street it is since it is already dark and there are no readable street signs. The place is huge and they have an airconditioned room. We stayed there since we brought our son with us and he sweats easily. They also have a live band.

The bulalo is good and enough for about four people. I didn't try the Pork Kilawin because my hubby said it is chili and I don't eat chili foods. But he said it's okay. The adobong nukos is also great. It was cooked right and not like rubber. But the talaba was a disappointment. The first time they served it, it has still ice on it. So we have it grilled again. But when it came back, it was overcooked. You cannot eat it anymore. Maybe they haven't perfected how to cook the talaba yet.

LOPEZ BEACH RESORT

We always go to LOPEZ BEACH RESORT at Opol, Misamis Oriental everytime we feel like swimming.  The place  is really not that big compared to ROAN.  It has about more or less 20 cottages and a huge parking space.  The cottages are arranged side by side.  Nothing is infront and nothing is at the back.  I'm not sure if it is still called LOPEZ BEACH RESORT.  The place was sold last May for 13 MILLION and is under a new management.  Before, we have to pay for shower and for using the bathroom.  But it is now free of charge.  Cottage price are P250 and P350 and vehicles are P30 depending on the size.  There are also tables you can rent.  I think it's for P100 or less.

WALKALATOR

This is the very first walkalator I've seen in my entire life.  This can be found at Robinson's Mall of Cagayan de Oro City.  My children were also intrigued when they saw this because we are only familiar with escalator.
I think this was really part of the design because their supermarket is located on the second floor and this will easily trasnport push carts.  What's also amazing is the design of the push cart tires.  They don't slip or slide even if you will just leave it on the walkalator.

WANTED PALANGGA

Cagayan de Oro City's MOR 91.90 radio station has a WANTED PALANGGA program every 1:00 - 3:00pm Mondays to Saturdays and hosted by DJ Daddy Aldrin. They conduct live search every Saturday and sometimes their BALO AND BINAYAAN edition. I love listening to this program because two callers will talk on air and get to know each other. They will then decide when and where to meet afterwards. They are not allowed to exchange numbers because this will show if they are true to their words in meeting each other. I don't have any idea if these callers really meet up or what. I guess you just have to listen to the program to know what I'm talking about.

NATURE'S BOUNTY

I recently discovered this store in Cagayan de Oro City because my pedia recommended it to me.  This is where I can buy CITRONELLA OIL as insect repellent for my children.  On the first time I visited the place, they have no stock.  But the clerk was so courteous and told me to leave my number so that she will text me when their stocks arrive.  About a week later, I really receive a text about my order.

The place is small but it houses a variety of organic products.  They have pure honey, fruit jams, herbal soaps, essential oils, herbal teas, and many more.  Moreover, the price is reasonable.

CHICKEN INASAL Bacolod Style

We went to Chicken Inasal Bacolod Style along Antonio Luna Extension. My hubby is very supportive of my new found hobby which is blogging. So he understands that I have to take picture of anything and everything I want to blog about including the food we eat.

It was about 7:30pm when we enter the food establishment. Only two
tables were occupied. But as the night goes by, customers are slowly coming in. So here's what we ordered:

P 65.00 House Specialty Bacolod Chiken Inasal (with rice and atsara)

P 120.00 Chicken skin

P 150.00 Sinuglaw (raw fish and fried/grilled beef)

P 40.00 Mango salad (plenty of onion and tomato but not enough mango)

The food was okay. The waiters are courteous and prompt.

WIRES AND CABLES

There are street corners in Cagayan de Oro City that look like this. I find it very dangerous. Are they any way these jumbled wires be arranged? This can cause too much trouble for the city if it will caught fire. Many business establishments are located near them.

BUTCHER'S AGAIN

We went to BUTCHER'S BEST BARBEQUE again for lunch since it is the nearest and most affordable food establishment around the area we went to. We ordered SINUGWOW for P75.00. It's just like their GRILLED PORK BELLY but they only added soy sauce and onion.
